Dr. Fotios Spyropoulos

Dr. Fotios Spyropoulos (PostDoc) is the legal counsel of the University of West Attica (Greece). He teaches “Health Law” and “AI and ethics” at the same University. Dr. Spyropoulos holds a PhD in Criminal Law and Criminology from the Law School of University of Athens (Grade: Excellent by all accounts” – funded by Greece State Scholarship Foundation – 1st position among all scholarships of the programme “Heracleitus II”). He has finished his postdoctoral research at the University of West Attica performing an H.F.R.I (Hellenic Foundation for Research & Innovation) project and scholarship. He has given dozens of lectures in Greece as well as to foreign universities as a Visiting Professor or Researcher (e.g. UFSC, Brazil – HdM University in Stuttgart -Germany, ADA University of Azerbaijan etc. on legal and ethics issues). He has also delivered lectures to scientific conferences in Greece and abroad, he has published or edited the publication of four scientific books and has written over 40 scientific articles in scientific journals. Finally, he practices law as the Senior Partner of Spyropoulos Law Firm, based in Greece.
